I’ve always had a problem with extremely sensitive skin. I have to use Dreft detergent or else I break out in a rough rash, and I always have to wash my clothing several times before I can wear it. I read that organic clothing was better for people who suffered from sensitive skin allergies, but when I tried some organic clothing I still had flare-ups. Then I read about eco-labeling and I realized that I needed to find clothing that was verified organic. In my long search I came across the GreenSafe Mark eco-label. It made me hopeful that something may finally work for me.
I still insist on washing my clothing first. I suppose I’ll always have that habit, but I have had no outbreaks while wearing any product that came with a GreenSafe Mark label. I thought I’d share this with others because it has been such a problem for me for such a long time, I’m really excited that I’ve found a solution. Working out was always difficult before because the clothing would stick to my skin and I’d end up with another irritating rash, but I’ve been able to start a workout regimen since finding the GreenSafe Mark label. If you’ve tried organic before and haven’t had any luck, try looking for something with an eco-label because that means that a third party has verified that there are no chemicals on the fabric. Looking back, I’m probably not sensitive to the fabric, but instead I probably react to the chemicals that come on the material. It has been so debilitating to have this allergy. Not to be able to work out or wear clothing right away, and then if I did have a break out it was so uncomfortable and took forever to go away. I’m not risking that again, I’m only buying clothing that has the GreenSafe Mark eco-label
